The Moon and Venus became visible to the naked eye at about 3.00pm some 45 minutes before the occultation.

I missed the moment of reappearance unfortunately, which happened to be just of the edge of the frame.
Venus appears much larger in this image because it is much brighter than the Moon and is grossly overexposed.
